Solution
KMG deployed a team familiar with those applications in its Offshore Support Center to help the client ensure cost-effective maintenance support. The team analyzed the issues, made the required changes, tested and implemented the solution.
For testing of applications, it reviewed the business requirement, coordinated with the testing team at client’s location and sent feedback on the testing process.

Project Description
The client wanted system enhancement and maintenance support for its Policy Writing and Claim Settlement application. The client developed other applications as well and released new versions on a regular basis. These newer versions required testing to ensure that existing functionalities were not disturbed.

Major Issues / Challenges
The Policy Writing Application, APEX, was COBOL/400 and SQL/400 based package developed by the client with his in-house team and used J-walk to present the User interface.
The Claim Settlement application was developed using Power Builder for user interface and used DB2/400 to host the database.
These applications required modification from time to time to meet requirements of changing processes.
