Solution
KMG developed an integrated system which had all the functionalities of the existing PPW’s and provided an effective means to send daily cruise data to the head office as well as receive any relevant data from the head office.
KMG developed three modules for the client:
Automated Shipside Application: This was highly customizable client server application installed on each of the individual ships to cater to the day-to-day activities occurring on the ship, including capture of sales information, calculation of commissions for the staff and handling of production and inventory data.
Automated Pocket Shipside Application: This was a handheld device based application, built to handle certain specific needs of the personnel on the ships. It catered to Inventory, Receiving and Environment division.
Automated Shore side Data Synchronizer: This was a Windows service based application specially built for data synchronization between Ships and the shore and vice-versa. This helped the management to get up-to date information on what was happening on the ship and to take corrective measures whenever required. This shore side database acted as a gateway to push/pull the data from/to the other specific databases at client location. |
