Project Description
Client needed to customize DFA rating in their Policy Management Application. The customised rating manual was supplied by them to KMG. The project was divided into three different phases.
1)Preperation of Technical specification and Design of the new module built.
2)Rating of the Base premium and the default endorsements.
3)Rating of the optional endorsements.

KMG Role
KMG started working on this Customization since April 2004 and continues to play a very important role in the successful enhancement, customization and implementation of the application. The following summarizes KMG roles:
Project Management : The Customization was managed by an Offshore Project Manager with experience in handling projects based on the Onsite – Offshore model. The following processes have been implemented to ensure the success of the project:
Quality Process: KMG’s Offshore Quality Analyst in partnership with the Offshore Test Engineer ensure adherence to quality process and deliverable quality.
Status Reporting and Communication: KMG Project Management ensures that accurate status reports reach the Client Project Management team. This helps keep both the teams updated on the current status of the project.
On-site Coordination : KMG has an onsite coordinator at the client location to clarify any doubts. Proven communication processes ensure that both the onsite as well as the offshore team works in tandem to meet critical deadlines.
Off-shore Development : The offshore team consists of five developers. Two to three developers lead by a Team Lead was attached to the project. Each team member is an expert Cobol professional adept in quality processes.
Quality Audit : Regular audits and code reviews are done by the Offshore Quality Analyst t o ensure the quality and standards of the project.
